UK Release of First Trailer for Thor: The Dark World

I was very happy with this preview, first because of the lack of real spoilers, and secondly for their aesthetic improvements since the first movie.
The trailer does a good job of just showing us quick glimpses of the characters that we can expect to be present, without explaining much about the villains or their plans.
Thor looks so much more realistic in this trailer. I had a big issue in the first Thor movie, and then much more in the Avengers, with the fact that his hair always looked so perfect. In this it looks much dirty and more like a traditional Viking warrior. The armor also seems to be sleeker and with a more leather/aged metalic look to it. I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie this October, but Iron Man 3 will hold me over.

First Look at Jamie Fox as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

After much speculation about what this new incarnation of Electro may look like, new shots have been released from the set that reveal something more outlandish and exciting than I had imagined.

By the look of it, it seems that either Electro’s abilities are now a physical part of him or that using whatever technology takes a toll on his appearance. Either way, they did a great job with the first movie and I’m confident in their casting choices for this sequel.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Venom Theory

I was watching the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series last night  and it got me in the mood to rewatch the Amazing Spider-Man movie from last year. While watching it though some dots started to connect in my head.

BEWARE SPOILERS FROM THE MOVIE AND CARTOON SHOW

There was a moment where Peter is running from the police and, after being shot, leaves behind a bloody handprint. According to the Ultimate tv series, Venom is a symbiote created by Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man’s DNA. This handprint could very well be the source of this DNA if recovered by Oscorp.

Dane Dehaan recently was announced to play Harry Osborn, the likely man to become the beast. According to the Ultimate series, Harry becomes Venom and later has trouble getting away from it. Dehaan was excellent in Chronicle and would be an excellent tormented young monster!

The rumor began to look more concerte after director Marc Webb tweeted a picture to Dane Dehaan for his birthday, revealing a lab locker that looks very similar to the one containing Venom in the Ultimate Universe. We’ll see how this plays out!

Live Action Planet Hulk Movie FALSE

Insiders have been confirming suspicions that the Live Planet Hulk movie is NOT happening. Anyone who has seen the movie or read the comic would remember that Bruce Banner does not appear in the movie at all, while his alterego the Hulk is present the entire time. This would be a complete waste of Mark Ruffalo‘s acting skills and 6 movie deal. At this point there have been no other hints of a Phase 2 Hulk Movie, but the live action TV Show is supposedly still in development (Likely not staring Ruffalo).
