Rumor: Possible Animated Series: Star Wars Reclamation

UPDATE 4/17: THIS WAS FAKE! LUCASFILM’S SPOKESPERSON HAS DENIED THE AUTHENTICITY OF THESE DOCUMENTS. I WILL KEEP IT POSTED SO THAT PEOPLE CAN SEE THAT THIS WAS A LIE AND THAT PEOPLE SHOULD REMAIN SKEPTICAL OF ANYTHING THAT THEY HEAR FROM ANYONE THAT IS NOT CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY LUCASFILM/DISNEY.

In response to a IMDB thread about Dave Filoni’s next Star Wars animated series, one poster claimed;

might be talking about this. we’d been working on details of it since early last year but didn’t know the details until a few months ago. got the greenlight in january but stopped everything when the layoffs hit. I could probably get in trouble, but oh wait, i don’t work there anymore who knows if this is the same project though, everything was dicey

He then leaked the following documents which appear to be a vague summary and series of character descriptions for the new series.

I have mixed feelings about this information. On one hand it says the show will be “Making use of decades media as influence.” This leads me to believe that it is going to utilize the Expanded Universe, but does not mention ANY characters from the EU. The only real Star Wars characters mentioned are Leia and Mon Mothma. I also find the mention of Kala Calrissian to be interesting, because she has never been mentioned before, and most illegitimate daughters don’t recieve their estranged father’s last name.

This could be a prank or a canceled Idea. The fact that it mentions level 1313 furthers this in my mind due to the fact that 1313 has supposedly been canceled, as well as the SW Underworld.

Rumor: Details About New Video Games, Movies, and an Animated Series!

The source at Cosmic Book Source is at it again. The same source that has supposedly leaked information about Darth Maul’s Spinoff Movie and Palpatine’s Disciple being the villain in Episode VII has now leaked the following information to the website;

The new animated Star Wars TV series may focus on the Rebellion taking down the remaining remnants of the Empire spread across the galaxy. It’s said to be similar to The Clone Wars in which it features a large cast of characters and doesn’t focus on a sole group (i.e. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo).

• The spin-offs films could include original characters and may not be focused on a well known character (i.e. Boba Fett, Han Solo etc).

• However, a spin-off may possibly be set before Episode I for certain characters (i.e. Yoda).

• New video games will be post Episode VI and could be based on the TV Series being developed.

• There will more than likely be video games based on Episode VII, VIII and IX.

Dave Filoni has confirmed that he is developing an animated series for Star Wars, and it would be great to see him doing a show where the good guys will win in the end, and it could serve as a great tool for getting stories from the Expanded Universe into the more mainstream medium.

Possible Spin Off to Feature Maul vs Obi Wan

According to Cosmic Book News. An inside source at Lucasfilm has said that there is an idea going around for a spin off to feature Obi-Wan and Darth Maul. Here is what the source has said;

• Set between Star WarsEpisode III and Episode IV.

• Said to feature Ewan McGregor reprising the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in his exile on Tatooine.

• The villain? Darth Maul hunting down his nemesis with a possible plot point involving a 5-year-old Luke Skywalker somehow tied into the story possibly as bait for Obi-Wan.

I was a fan of Maul’s run in the latest seasons of Clone Wars and think that this would be a very interesting thing to see, especially since both Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid have expressed interest in returning.

BIG RUMORS FROM NERDVANA

All of these are rumors at this point but here is the summary:

“All three of the originals will be back in VII; they all have contracts now.

We’re introducing Han and Leia’s child and grandchild.

No on Yoda, George doesn’t want it. Yoda is a supporting character and will stay that way.

JJ’s contract has a clause for all three movies and an additional three of Lucas/Disney choosing if everyone melds well on the first one. This is typical of these types of contracts; gives everyone an out if needed.

There are three new books we want Timothy Zahn to write.”

I find all of this to be very exciting. This should mean that the child and grandchild are Jaina and Allana! I’m predicting them becoming a master/apprentice duo, and this being a Trilogy for the ladies! And is this a new Zahn trilogy in the making or three seperate novels?

How is Ania Solo related to the family?

I was thinking about this last night and its still been bugging me. The new Legacy series supposedly follows Ania Solo, the great great granddaughter of Han and Leia. Here’s my question though, HOW!?

Jaina is married to Jag Fel and her children lead the way to the next Fel legacy that will rule the Empire for generations using the last name FEL. Jacen may be dead, but his daughter still lives, but her children probably wouldn’t be named Solo, and they would probably be tied to the Hapan court. Anakin is dead after only recieving a kiss, so theres no way the kids are his. So who the hell is Ania Solo related to!?

Drew Karpyshan Shoots Down Rumors of Involvement in Knights of the Old Republic Movie

He has since shot down the rumors though claiming to know nothing about such a films existence. Drew instead has been preparing his new book series the Children of Fire, which is set to release this fall.
